Your website should do these things

Don’t let your website be a dumping ground. Instead: turn it into a demand generation engine.

Here’s a few questions to consider (yes answers are good)

  1. Are you clear about the problem you solve for your customer?
  2. Have you stated why it’s important that this problem be solved?
  3. Is it clear on your site what your visitor should do about the problem?
  4. Are you focused on your prospect, not you, your product, and your company?
  5. Is it easy for your visitor to figure out what you do?
  6. Do you show them a simple path to make their life easier?
  7. Are there clear calls to action in more than one place?
  8. Do you avoid long and complex verbiage?
  9. Are you providing value (e.g., via assets) in exchange for email addresses?
  10. Do you use simple words and let images speak?

What would you add?
