Some in sales are not sure how to use social media to attract business. There’s a lot of fear. Questions and thoughts include: What do I say? I’ve got nothing original to post. I’m not a great writer. What if it isn’t good. I want to, but I don’t know how. I don’t like a lot of what I see. And so on…
These limiting beliefs fail to recognize a few things.
- There is nothing new under the son – including social posts. What’s the solution? Write about the problem you solve for your customers. Write about it from every angle. Be the expert in your space.
- There are indeed a lot of low quality social media posts – you’ll have some too. Here’s the good news: statistically, when you weigh this against the global population, you have 0% reach. So don’t worry about it and focus on those in your tribe that you can help. Thank you Seth Godin.
- There is no shortage of experts who can help you execute a well-planned social media strategy. Start with Justin Welsh and follow those who you see doing it well.
“But I don’t have the time!”
Is it time or fear?
Is it time or priority?
Being honest would be a great start.
I hope this helps.
