Stop reaching for the easy button in sales – there isn’t one

Sales tactics:

  • Take the joy out of trying to help someone.
  • Can backfire and destroy your reputation and brand, permanently
  • Encourage prospects to actively seek alternatives

Professional sales:

  • Increases joy on all sides as problems are discussed and solved
  • Boosts brand and reputation, spinning up an organic referral engine
  • Creates long-term customers, boosting LTV:CAC

Too many spend their time seeking and learning sales tactics. They’re looking for the easy button. The just want the next quick trick to get a deal over the line.

Instead, consider spending that energy on developing a process that:

  1. Helps people with a problem
  2. Seeks to understand their concerns
  3. Provides a safe place to talk and explore options
  4. And provides freedom of choice

This is a far better use of time.
