My 13-yr-old daughter fell hard during her ninja competition. She hit the ground with such impact that her own knee hit her in the head, leaving her with a nice egg.
Her coach asked if she was going to sit out her second run – she said, “No!”
She came back and won the event – crowd went nuts…
What most folks don’t know is that she’s won or placed in her last four competitions.
How?
Consistency.
She consistently puts in the work, and is now competing at the top levels of her age bracket.
What does this have to do with sales & marketing?
A lot.
Most
- Try one follow up
- Give up when things get hard
- Step out of the arena
- Stop getting better
- Stop trying
And so what happens, we stay average.
To be clear, I’m not advocating hustle culture. I have no interest in that.
Instead, I’m talking about doing simple things, consistently. Learning and adapting, and creating and refining your playbook.
That’s what my daughter does.
It makes all the difference – in sales and in ninja competitions.
PS – this is her icing her wounds
