Here’s a non-salesy way to put your prospect at ease.
First, you’ve likely been taught to talk about how awesome your product/service/company is. The problem – no matter how you slice it, it sounds salesy.
Instead, try this…(obviously adapt to your style and context)
“Obviously, I’m a huge fan of our unique approach, but I fully recognize that you may not be – and that’s totally okay! If you don’t feel like we’re a fit, kick me off the call at anytime, is that fair?”
This will:
- Get a laugh
- Create a safe space
- Put your prospect at ease
- Help build buyer confidence
And best of all – it’s totally honest.
You may not be the right fit
So just call it out!
