They were dashed
I was treated like a number….he talked about him, the company, and the product
And then tried to qualify me:
- is this your role
- do you use this software
Ugh!
He was checking boxes – for him!
I would have coached him, but when I told him I wasn’t the right person, he began ending the call.
Here’s what he didn’t know:
- I was friends with the person he needed to talk to
- I hold influence in the organization
- I knew the hurdles he’d have to overcome
But those misses aside, he didn’t treat me like a human being
