The formula is simple. It has four parts:
- Them: Focus on your prospect & the problem you solve for them throughout
- Problem(s): Don’t make assumptions, but touch on some potential trouble spots
- Solution: Hint at your unique solution, casting some vision for a new future state
- Action: Provide a free-choice-invitation to take a step with you
Here’s an example:
Subject: Outreach That Works
Hi Ted –
I’m not sure if this is your experience, but I’m hearing that traditional outreach techniques are no longer working. This is hurting morale and the bottom line.
Outreach shouldn’t be a crapshoot.
Are you open to chat about a different approach that can breakthrough to your customers and drive more business for you, or should I get out of your hair?

This is just one sales email example. There are dozens. And, of course, email is just one channel of many. If you want this particular email to pop – use the content for a 30 second video and send that!
